Join us in creating your own Mod Podge pumpkin. We will have paper mache pumpkins & plastic pumpkins (8″ & up) and a variety of scrapbook papers & paint to make your pumpkin your very own.
$21.00 per person pre-registered, $25 at the door. All materials will be provided. You are welcome to bring your favorite snacks & beverages.

Bring your book group into the studio for a special meeting! What to expect:
You’ll have time to socialize and share refreshments. On display, will be a sample of the craft you will make, as well as the materials used in the project–just to get your creativity flowing. Before the discussion of the book begins, Ester Mauricio will give guidance on the project. Then, you’ll make your art project at your seat while you discuss the book. The price will be $15 per person.
Articipate is a storefront art studio in downtown Berkley. We promote art and support artists, especially would-be artists. Here, you can drop in and immerse yourself in an exploration of art materials and imagination.

This event is for men only. Sumi-e art has been practiced for centuries, often by Samurai. “The Warrior’s Way is two-fold; the brush and the sword. He should have a taste for both ways.” (paraphrased) Minamoto Musashi. Come learn about the Four Treasures and how to paint the first of the Four Gentlemen: bamboo, with Mark Swarthout, a martial artist.
You may bring your favorite beverage and snack. All Materials are provided. $20.

Learn the art of Notan, a Japanese technique of using light and dark. Add in Zentangle and mount your design on a 9×9″ black backing for display. Nothing bring people together like art. Instruction, materials, refreshments, $55 per couple.
