Finding beauty in the mundane
and inspiration out of boredom
Liz Frankland’s paintings, set in the mid 20th century, convey human isolation and a longing for togetherness with additional themes of travel and progress. The slow pace of days during lock down lead to further refinement of a salient feature of her work; the fine line between accuracy and expressiveness.
Ron Shelton’s craftsmanship has transformed what’s on-hand materials into sculptural art with a musical theme.
