Liz works primarily with acrylics on canvas in a loose but realistic style.  Everyday spaces, figures that resonate with a mid-century aesthetic; and interiors filled with light and shadow are some of the subject matter which drives her work.  Join us for this long anticipated community art celebration June 19, 6:00-8:00pm.

Acrylic Painting: Portraits, 5 sessions

November 13, 6:30-8:30pm.  Loose, Accurate and Expressive!

Become more confident and loose as a painter in this 5 session class with a combination of quick, fun gesture exercises as well as longer duration paintings. We will focus on portrait painting basics using photo references and a simplified palette. This class is for all levels.

Liz Frankland, instructor, will demonstrate to show the essentials of brushwork, value and composition with individualized attention.

The best way to improve is through practice! We will do several ala prima paintings, which are completed in one session. Liz will demonstrate multiple limited palettes in order to create a better understanding of the human form with greater accuracy and expression.

This is an acrylic painting class but we will also do some charcoal drawing. A materials list will be sent to registered students. Space is limited to 12.  $139.
