Join local artist Liz Frankland for a 5-week class on acrylic painting. Frankland, who is based in Berkley, is an award winning painter with a love of mid-century modern design, everyday spaces, and interiors filled with light and shadow.
Frankland will demonstrate how to create a scene that is loose but realistic in style, and how to find the point where detail can be expressed accurately yet abstract. Students are asked to bring 2-3 inspirational images to work from and will leave at the end of the class with their own painting. And don’t worry about a cluttered photo! Frankland will help students navigate what to highlight and minimize in the final work.
Next class: Wednesday evenings, beginning January 9, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm. A materials list will be provided to registered students prior to class. We must have minimum 5 students or the class will be cancelled. Register on the calendar page.
