April 13, 1:30-4:30pm. Mary Jane Erard returns to teach painting with pastels. She is a creative teacher; each student learns pastel painting techniques applied to a chosen, traced image. Pet Portraits are a favorite subject, but animals, birds and fish have pleasing organic shapes for an eye catching image. $36. Pigments provided.
Sunday, Feb. 24, 1:30-4:30pm. Mary Jane Erard, pastel artist and teacher, will conduct a 3 hour workshop in which you will learn how to use these soft chalks to create a pet portrait. No pet? Wildlife can suffice. Sanded pastel paper ($2) will be available at the class. All other supplies will be provided. Register on calendar page. Five students are required to run this class. $36.

Pastel artist, Mary Jane Erard (see her paintings at Toledo Museum of Art) has years of teaching experience and will work with each student to make the pet portrait successful. Bring your favorite photo to trace. Class size limited to 12 people. $35.

Sunday, January 28, from 12:30 to 3:30 Join Terry Ford-Holcomb for an afternoon of creative art journaling. Learn several mixed media techniques for that journal you’ve been meaning to use. Lots of stencils, ideas and paint for exploring possibilities. Bring your imagination and a spiral journal (or purchase at class for $5.00). It can be a messy process, but oh so much fun! Fee: $35; Class limited to 10 participants.

White shadows cast on cyan blue ground. Cyanotype Prints Workshop: Participants will make a small practice print and a final 8”x10” frame worthy print. Fine Art Photographer, Robert Zeichner will teach this magical process of letting the sun’s ultraviolet light create a lovely image. Use our supplies or bring your own objects to cast the “shadows” such as plants, clear patterned glassware, jewelry, netting, etc. Limited to 12 students; 5 students necessary to hold the workshop. $25 includes materials. (A rain date is necessary-July 9th, 1:00-3:00pm.)
