April 28, 3:00-4:30pm Special Performance! Music, art and story combine for a family treat. Dr. Chelsea Koziatek (flute) and Dr. Tia Harvey (narrator) perform this well known tale by Oscar Wilde. Their performance will be followed by paper crafts to enhance the experience. $15 per person. Also, on May 10th, adults can look forward to an evening performance accompanied with a tapas treat. July 11, 7:00pm-9:00pm
You will love the shapes and versatility of paper maché! It’s a satisfying process; the construction or molding of an armature, the draping and smoothing of paste soaked paper, then the decoration and painting of the hardened shell. Come and try it! Five weeks, Wednesdays, all materials included, $115. Begins July 11th. Class size limited to 8 people.
Articipate’s Art Cart is offering after school, one hour art lessons for students in grades 2-5. Taught by experienced art teachers, the lessons will include drawing with shading, printmaking, sculpture, Zentangle/patterns, life size self drawings, and collage. Our objective is to foster imagination and play while exploring new materials. A personal sketchbook is included to encourage practice and creativity outside the classroom. Teachers will also teach one of the standard art concepts per lesson (line, shape, space, color, values, form, texture).
