DRAWING AND PAINTING CLASS
Beginning September 5th, on Tuesdays from 7:00pm-9:00pm, Greg Carr will teach drawing with various materials then alternate a week to teach painting (both oil and acrylic paints.) Each class is $25 per person or you may buy 5 classes in advance for $100. You are free to pick the dates you would like to attend, within 3 months. You may bring your own materials or pay a materials fee of about $5.
Beginning September 28th, Artist Justin Bean will lead participants through a playful exploration of paint with the intention of creating abstract art. Using acrylic paints and palette knives, we will explore both wet-on-wet gestural painting and the use of a dry base layer to create texture and dramatic color combinations. In addition, we will introduce tape into the painting process to create layered compositions with increasing complexity and vibrancy. The end goal is for each participant to produce at least one frame worthy painting.
