SUNDAY SPECIAL SPACE
Yes, we’re now open on Sundays! Studio time is yours! Bring whatever you’re working on or start something new. Creating in a shared space breaks up the isolation of creating alone. Refreshing! If you supply your own materials-$10. Or, materials can be purchased.
Tuesdays, 6:00-9:00pm, beginning June 26th. Drawing the human figure has long been a staple for artists. With gesture and form drawings in this 6 week class, we will also look at perspective, composition and value. Experienced teacher and artist, Dan Keller has taught at WSU, CCS and the BBAC. Four of the classes will have a live model. $169, includes cost of model. Begins June 26.
PAPER MACHE´ CLASS
You will love the shapes and versatility of paper maché! It’s a satisfying process; the construction or molding of an armature, the draping and smoothing of paste soaked paper, then the decoration and painting of the hardened shell. Give it a try. Five weeks, Wednesdays, all materials included, $115. Begins 6/27/18. 7:00-9:00pm. Class size limited to 8 people.
PAINTING & DRAWING CLASS
You don’t have to know how to draw to make art. In this class we’ll skip the careful pencil drawings and start with a loose impressionistic painting. In three painting classes, we’ll explore acrylic, watercolor and oil paints. We’ll incorporate color, composition, shapes, lines, value and contrast as we go. Two drawing classes will follow; learning hand-eye coordination and finding shapes. Drawing is as much about learning how to see, as recording it. Most importantly, after five weeks, you will have learned to hush your inner critic and to consider yourself an artist. $115 for 5 weeks. Current class runs through June 20th. Next class begins according to demand. Make a comment on this page if you want to begin.
ZENTANGLE, BEYOND BASICS
